{my business card}

Working at T.R. Nimen Inc. | was a major achievement for my career
after graduating the prior spring in 2001.
The studio was small (still small)
and very encouraging
of smart and ingeniutive graphic design. T.R. Nimen Inc.
at the time was only comprised of the president (Tom Nimen),
the office and project manager (Abbey Janes) and myself the graphic designer (Duane Smith). The studio
was also accompanied by Bernadette Evangelist of
Robert Anthony Inc., a very well established graphic within New York City with years of experience. The studio great opportunity to work and gain strong foundation in graphic design. The guidanceof art direction from Tom Nimen and Bernadette Evangelist made my skill level excelerate from jr graphicdesigner when I got there to jr art director by the time I left. The two
and a half years I worked there my duties included: Created themed promotion logos, collateral and websites for annual events. Developed identities
and corporate signatures for emerging companies and
not-for-profits. created print production specifications
for estimates, participated in project trafficking and
maintained job jackets including organization of photography,
illustration, digital art, and company archives. Participated
in print production including color/halftone separation,
choosing paper, on-press supervision, and print production
follow-up tasks.

Our studio was located on the corner of West Broadway and Chambers.
On the morning of September 11, 2001 we were evacuated off of the
premises by NYPD during the attacks downtown at World Trade Center.
It was tuff. We had to re-establish the studio uptown for a duration of
two months. Back in the studio was good but a bit gloomedand eventually
business was very difficult to gain. I work for T.R. Nimen with the prospect
of doing more and better work but was laid off in 2003 because work
was very difficult to gain.
